Interrogo ("we," "our," or "us") provides an AI-guided story development platform at interrogo.vercel.app (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
We store the story content you create within the Service, including interview answers, character profiles, beat sheets, world-building notes, and screenplays. You own all of your story content. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over the stories you create.
Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never receive or store your credit card number, bank account details, or other payment credentials. We retain only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
We collect anonymized usage data through Google Analytics, including pages visited, time spent, browser type, and general location (country/region). We also track AI feature usage (request counts and token usage) for rate limiting and budget management purposes.
When you use AI-powered features (discovery interviews, story audits, script analysis), your story content is sent to third-party AI providers (currently Anthropic and OpenAI) to generate responses. These providers process your content under their own data processing agreements.
Important: The AI never writes story content for you. It only asks questions, provides structural analysis, and offers feedback. All creative content is authored by you.
Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore) with server-side access controls. Each user can only access their own projects and data. We use Firebase Authentication for secure sign-in and server-side token verification for all API requests.
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, Content Security Policy headers, HTTP Strict Transport Security, and input validation on all user-submitted content.

We use essential cookies for authentication (Firebase session) and a non-essential cookie set by Google Analytics to understand usage patterns. You can opt out of analytics cookies through the cookie consent banner displayed on your first visit.
We also store your theme preference (light/dark mode) in your browser's local storage. This is not a cookie and is not transmitted to our servers.

We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains accessible in read-only mode. If you request account deletion, we will delete all associated data within 30 days. Anonymized usage analytics and audit logs may be retained for up to 12 months for security and service improvement purposes.
The Service is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
